This Cookie Notice explains how Jenercode uses cookies and similar technologies on its website. It should be read together with the Jenercode Privacy Notice.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is visited. They can be used to provide website functionality, remember preferences, maintain security and understand how a website is used.
3. The cookies Jenercode uses
Strictly necessary cookies
Jenercode may use cookies that are strictly necessary to provide requested website or Platform functionality, including authentication, security, session management and recording cookie preferences. These cookies are used only where necessary for the service and are not used for advertising or analytics.
Strictly necessary cookies may be set without consent where permitted by law. These are the necessary cookies currently in use and their duration:

cookie_consent is deliberately unencrypted so that you can inspect it yourself. It holds one word: accepted or declined.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4
Jenercode uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the website. Analytics cookies are not set unless the visitor has consented to analytics cookies through the Jenercode cookie controls.

Browser restrictions or Jenercode's Analytics configuration may shorten these cookie lifetimes. Jenercode configures the GA4 user-level and event-level data retention setting to 2 months. The GA4 data-retention setting is separate from the lifetime of a cookie stored in the browser.
GA4 may collect session statistics, approximate geographic location, browser and device information and pseudonymous identifiers. Google states that for EU, Switzerland and UK users, IP addresses are used to derive coarse location and are discarded before being logged or stored by Google Analytics. Google Signals is switched off, so this data is not shared with Google's advertising products.
4. Consent and changing your choice
Analytics cookies require consent. Jenercode will not activate Google Analytics cookies unless the visitor has chosen to allow analytics cookies.
Visitors may reject analytics cookies without losing access to the website. Consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time using the Cookie settings control in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent prevents further analytics use from that point, subject to the operation of the visitor's browser and the removal of any existing analytics cookies through the consent tool or browser settings.
5. No advertising cookies
Jenercode does not currently use advertising, behavioural advertising or retargeting cookies. If this changes, this Cookie Notice and the cookie-consent controls will be updated before those cookies are used.

7. Managing cookies in your browser
You can view, delete and block cookies through your browser settings, whatever you told our banner:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the Platform working — you will not be able to sign in.
